I am going at my own pace, not taking giant steps, and 75 percent of group WAS PASSING ME TODAY, ( I am a walker). There were some steel magnolias out there this morning. WAhhhhhhhh! I'm slow!!! I put myself in the 4 mile per hour group, and I saw that I am more between a 4 to 5.
I am NOT discouraged, but greatly curious as to where this group's speed is coming from. What is the secret?
Maybe I will find some of this aforementioned Edamamee and that will make me into superwoman, shins of steel, built for speed. I am looking at the big picture, as in "I can do this for 32 more weeks, I can do the 26.2 miles." But perhaps I am just in trusty tortoise mode.
I am comfortable with that. And, I like comfortable.

A 4.5 MPH will get you through in a respectable 5 hours 50 minutes. I have done faster and slower marathons and you are only in the 4th week. You Rock!
Hi Amy. I knew you looked familiar all along. I formerly worked for Mike Tramel and I remember us having several conversations over the years. I worked there for 5 years and just quit in December to stay home with my son whose name is also Brennan! Keep up the good work and I'll continue to see you at the meetings on Saturday.
you just didn't have me to compare yourself to! HA!! i'll show you what slow really means! and did you see what Mark said? 5+ hours IS awesome. i'm personally hoping for < eight!
Amy, I believe you posted on my blog with a question about edamame. It's soybeans still in the pods. You can buy it in the frozen food section or fresh. The frozen can be microwaved and ready to eat in 3 minutes. It's cheap. You never know, your husband might like it. I'm 6'2", wear camo, and think it's good. Give him a beer with it and you might fool him.
Mike
Yes, you are right. That person you see that you thought is Dr. Riley is Dr. Riley. And I have a dental appointment myself tomorrow. So I get to go visit everybody. Just give me the nitrous and I'm good!!!!!
all places have soy latte's. i get mine at brewed. or i make them at home with my handy espresso machine!. yea, soy tastes a little different - kinda nutty. but good! and i'm not sure of the calorie diff., but i do the soy cause 1)i don't need the 8 ounces of half and half that i prefer in a breve', and 2)the soy is SUPPOSE to help with menopause symptoms. of which i have plenty. you should try it!
