Went by Fleet Feet mid Saturday afternoon and bought TWO new pairs of shoes, and those special inserts for each pair as well. Feet were just DYING after my Saturday trek here in Madison.
Fleet Feet guy was extremely helpful, said yes, my February shoes could be worn out, and that additional support for my higher arch could help. Also, it would help to strengthen my legs, like biking, leg exercises for strength. So, that is my new thing to concentrate on - strengthening legs. Biking wears me out - maybe that is a sign of where I am weak.
Perhaps strengthening the legs will take some stress off my ankles?
I cannot jog until I get my ankles feeling better. As much as I dread Fitness Lady, I am going there later this afternoon to read People magazines and ride their bikes for a good 45 minutes. The A/C will be nice as well.
This a.m. I woke up very easily at 5:30, no alarm set. I felt like I needed to get up and get going. Then I remembered what day it was. No early training on Sunday. I felt like I was burning daylight, just sitting out on my screen porch with my dogs and needlepoint, at 6 a.m. , waiting for the hands on the clock to go on around to 8:30, time to get ready for church.
