I did my 6 miles on my own early on Friday, as I was out of town Sat. and Sun.
After setting my new Ironman for walk 2 minutes, run 30 seconds, I set out at Strawberry Patch Park, and successfully completed six miles in a decent time. Surprisingly enough, it was pretty pleasant to do the intervals. Towards the last two miles, I definitely was enjoying the 2 minute walks.
After I get pretty comfortable with my tiny 30 second run, I look to be adding more time to that interval. Perhaps working up to a mighty 60 seconds of running!
I have come a LOOONNNNGGGG way since January.

annie said y'all had a great time at auburn. thanks so much for taking her - she really needed the time away (and she said she didn't mind you chattering!)
keep up the good work.
looks like i'll just be walking in chicago. my knees aren't getting better. i'm ok with it. just really disappointed.
Good job, Amy! You are being smart and that's great - congrats on 6 miles!
Those are some mighty pretty dogs you have there! And I would love your Juice Plus. Never heard of it, but I love trying new things. Keep up the good work. I am well on my way to catching back up with the group.
Way to go! Just keep on plugging-you're doing great. Thanks for your kind words about Dante. Sorry to hear about your own recent experience. Our pets really do become part of our families.
Great job! I'm about where you are. I can run for longer time but not for the whole 6 miles so on Saturday, maybe it would be best to do .5 to 2 for EIGHT miles.
Maybe we could run together on Saturday?
