My clothes are still extremely damp from this morning's jaunt.
I went again by myself, out my front door, and a bit slower. However, my ankles felt mostly fine, not like when I was jogging and interval. The soles of my feet were barking at me at mile 10, though. I am thinking that is normal for such a long distance.
Pretty hot, but August will be really HOT. I might be out there on Sat a.m.'s at 3 a.m. with a headlamp attached to my forehead, just to avoid 8 a.m. summer sun. My time was the slowest ever today, but I am competing with myself, just to finish the alloted distance. I accept that, and am keeping on course.
Hope everyone else had a positive morning. I did pick up some good garage sale items on my Madison walk this a.m. Spotted it from my slow pace easily, a glass top dining table and 6 chairs for a super price. SOLD!! Via handy cell phone, Sent my husband by with the money. From now on, around the 1st of the month, I will definitely walk in Madison and check out the garage sales along the way. Makes for an interesting trek: combine marathoning and shopping.

I will go garage sale-ing with you anytime. Call me! Love to look at other people's junk. Sometimes you can find treasures among the trash!

I love your philosophy. Can't go wrong getting a good work out and bargain hunting at the same time!
i'm so glad your ankle didn't hurt/swell saturday. SO, keep telling yourself to RUN YOUR OWN RACE!!! and maybe you can eventually join the group run/walk. (I can tell you this - while i was biking with the group saturday, there were MANY more people walking than running - it was too damn hot! even at 6AM)
Saturday was not the day to judge yourself by your pace. As hot and humid as it was, everyone was slower - it was brutal! You did great just getting out there at ANY pace at all!
amy, you have to read kelvin's post on my latest blog. he's just too funny!
i want to QUIT!!!! my job, that is.
pretty soon i will have to join your wogging group- i have started to gain a little bit of weight! AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
