Odds Ends and More Energy

Between new full time job (new to me) and enduring/orchestrating some kitchen remodeling, interior house painting, I am sort of overwhelmed.

The little touch up painting after the remodel turned into "lets go ahead and repaint the den/living walls and ceilings." My painter is great, he is my neighbor, but living amongst the chaos a bit unrestful after a very long day away from home. I like to come home to peace and calm. It is not that here. It looks like a bomb went off. New big screen TV is not even hooked up. Husband is NOT happy about that. He was really enjoying it. Maybe painter will be finished by Friday night.

However, Saturday MM is sounding pretty good. I am looking forward to it. As I am walking, I expect there to be a LARGE crowd at the end to cheer me in, welcome me to the end of the half marathon festivities. My ankles are happier walking. Thankgoodness, we are starting earlier at 5:30. I plan to be there, as I have done my Saturday training on my own the past few weeks.

My son is going over to Auburn Friday for a full week, doing an architecture camp. He insists he does not need mama to drive him the 5 hours there. Okay, I can live with that. After all, he'll be a high school senior in August. My nest is getting quite empty, quite fast.

Since I started MM, I have the new found energy to tackle major projects, happily. My husband is even noticing my new found energy/motivation/drive. It took about three months, but I just gradually started being more pro-active about tackling projects in general. Used to, I would sit around and think about doing stuff. Now, I am getting out there and actually DOING/ACCOMPLISHING major projects.

I have still got to mail those graduation gifts though. Sort of pesky project.

I know my Auburn daughter is reading my blogs these days. Hey Gin! Isn't my blog just so exciting and newsy? Blog on, my friends and family, Blog on.

See ya'll Saturday.

Did I see your husband on the 10:00 news last night about the smoking ban in Ridgeland? From his picture it looked like him but I'm not sure.
When you finish with your painter send him our way! I have been putting off painting because the job is overwhelming to me.
Looking forward to seeing you this weekend!
