For the animal lovers here, we had our vet come out and euthanize our elderly golden retriever, Frances, last weekend, right after I got home from saturday morning MM wog. Thankgoodness, I had some endorphins still going, because the rest of the day was pretty crummy. I had to do some shopping therapy at Dogwood that afternoon and evening. Our first family dog. Anyway, we are hanging in there. Our 4 yr old golden retriever, Liddy, seems pretty lost without her leader. Even she looks sad this week, sort of lost.
Seems like everyone is out of town on Spring Break, but me. I don't think my trip to Kosciusko to the plant nursery counts as a spring break trip. Thats the only traveling I've done this week thus far. Perhaps tomorrow I will drive to Carrolls nursery, in inner city Jackson. That is sort of a road trip from where we live, between Madison and Gluckstadt.
I've been walking with some fast walkers at Strawberry Patch park the past few weekday a.m.'s around 8:30. They keep me going and entertained. Always a story to tell!

Oh, I am so sorry about your puppy. What more can I say. See you on the run.

I am so sorry! Our wiemeraner is 5 years old and we love her like one of our children (all grown so Libby is our baby). I've had other pets but none has taken my heart like Libby. I really dread the day when this happens to her. There's just something so sad about "man outliving his best friend."
Hang in there and spend as much time as possible with Liddy to help each other get through this difficult time.
It is so sad about your puppy. I am so sorry!
Our little dog Rudy (10 years old) died in November. It was pretty traumatic for us since we got him one month after we married. We had an appointment to have him put to sleep the afternoon of the day he died but he did not make it. He had been really sick with pancreatitis and diabetes (he got into some turkey grease someone had poured out in his yard a year ago).
I was at Strawberry Patch wogging this morning about 8:30. Maybe I saw you? We need some kind of secret signal! ;.)
I am so sorry to hear about your dog. It is heartbreaking and I know how you feel. Hang it there!
nice that you have fran's pic on your blog - you can remember how sweet and happy she was. :((((
I am sorry for your loss and hope your memories of her will bring you comfort. I am a big dog lover and know how it is to lose them.
